Accor appoints Lewis as communications chief

Accor: Communications focus ahead of expansion

Accor has appointed Evan Lewis as vice president Communications - Asia Pacific.

Lewis will be based in Accor’s regional corporate office in Singapore and will be responsible for external and internal communications.

He will oversee Accor's communications covering hotel brands such as Sofitel and Novotel.

Lewis is appointed to the position after 15 years in senior management positions, including posts as general manager and operational roles of major hotels in Australia and in Asia.

He re-located to Asia nearly four years ago, when he was appointed Director of Marketing – Asia for the group. He has been involved with brand and hotel launches across the region, as well as major events and promotions.

Lewis's appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Accor throughout Asia, with 100 hotels in the pipeline in China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
