Weber Shandwick names new GM for Indonesia.

Weber Shandwick has named Misty Agustini to the new role of general manager, Indonesia.
 
Agustini’s remit will include overarching cross-practice responsibility, working with various teams to continue to foster business growth and drive innovation throughout the firm’s specialties, products and services in Indonesia’s fast-developing market. She reports to Djohansyah Saleh, head of the firm’s operations, Indonesia.
 
Commenting, Baxter Jolly, vice chairman, Weber Shandwick, Asia Pacific, said: “Misty’s deep industry experience and broad network in the country will be invaluable to the Indonesia team, the firm and our clients. We welcome her to Weber Shandwick and look forward to what lies ahead for our Jakarta operation under her leadership.”
 
Agustini joins Weber Shandwick after serving as general manager at one of Indonesia’s largest public relations firms for more than seven years.

She has managed large multinational programmes and led campaigns spanning corporate, consumer and technology sectors, and has built and managed public relations teams both in-house and within agencies.
 
Agustini earned a Bachelor of Mass Communications degree from  the University of Indonesia and has lectured on communication research methods and internal communication.  She is also an active speaker raising awareness for leukaemia in Indonesia.
