Weber Shandwick has appointed Barkha Patel-Zinzuwadia to the role of regional head of technology and senior vice president.

Speaking on the appointment, Jolly said: “As general manager in Thailand, Barkha raised service standards and excellence of counsel to the next level. I am very confident that her outstanding leadership skills, and impressive track record of client work, will help us to strengthen our technology practice and expand our capabilities across Asia Pacific.”

Patel-Zinzuwadia’s recent career history includes working as a director of global communications at Temasek Holdings, and prior to that, as the Asia Pacific PR director for Business Objects.

In her in-house roles, Patel-Zinzuwadia was responsible for all aspects of the communications function, including internal and academic communications, as well as analyst relations.

Her specialisation has remained within the technology industry and she has extensive experience working across global brands such as Compaq, HP, PeopleSoft, SunGard, Oracle, Microsoft, as well as some smaller dotcom-era frontrunners.
