Waggener Edstrom has announced changes to its regional management team with Mathew Lackie, senior vice president of South Asia, taking on a newly created role of deputy lead/senior vice president, Asia Pacific.

Lackie will work closely with the executive vice president of Asia pacific, David Ko to drive the agency’s strategic goals.

Ko will continue to oversee the agency’s expansion throughout the region and Lackie will focus on business growth as well as expanding the digital practice through APAC.

At the same time, veteran Human Resources (HR) practitioner Sarah Jackson joins the company as regional HR director to lead and further support the regional business expansion of the agency.

David Ko, executive vice president, Asia Pacific, said: “Waggener Edstrom’s regional leadership team has been on a growth path in recent years and will continue to evolve in 2012. We’ve already seen several additions recently including the appointments of Cathleen Witter and Dan Benelisha as healthcare and technology practice leads for the region, and the appointment of Winnie Lai as Greater China lead. Matthew’s extended role is a natural progression supported by his strong pan-regional experience and solid performance running the South Asia region. Together with Matthew, Sarah and the rest of our APAC leadership team, I’m confident we will accelerate our regional growth.”
