Text100 boosts creative teams

Text100 has announced the appointment of two creative directors to lead the business’ creative teams across Asia Pacific and North America.

Lee Devine, Creative Director for APAC, will be responsible for building out the agency’s regional creative hub, which delivers an array of design, digital and film production services to clients, as well as taking on day-to-day leadership of Text100’s APAC creative throughput. Lee will be based in Text100’s Singapore office, and joins the agency from APV in Hong Kong.

Similarly, Adam Selwyn, who will work out of Text100’s New York office, takes on creative leadership for North America, shaping the region’s creative hub and working with teams across the company’s four US offices. Adam has previously worked for Golin and Olson Engage.

Lee Nugent, APAC Regional Director at Text100, said: “We’re delighted to have made two great creative hires – and here, in Asia, we’re especially excited to have Lee Devine join the team. His fantastic track record in delivering work that wows clients and colleagues alike, coupled with his innate understanding of how the role of a creative lead needs to foster a culture of creative democracy in a modern communications agency, meant that we just had to hire him. Lee’s appointment is a key step towards making sure meet our agency goal of delivering inspiring work to clients time and time again.”

Lee Devine said: “I’m proud to join Text100 and the exceptionally talented teams here in APAC. Digital platforms have democratised the way we consume and share content. For our clients, that means that it’s no longer about the brand that shouts the loudest – it’s about the brand that listens hardest and spends less time talking about itself and the more time talking about the things that matter to its audiences. That’s what we help our clients do: turn the things their audiences care about into stories. I’m here to lead our fantastic creative teams to even greater heights.”

Prior to his current role, Lee was Creative Director at APV in Hong Kong, where he led a team of in-house creatives, writers, editors and producers, creating content for a brand portfolio that included FWD, Manulife, Prudential and Morgan Stanley.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than five years working at IncrediBull, a creative agency based in London under the leadership of Richard Parkinson, now Text100’s Global Creative Director. Lee’s clients included Nokia, NCR, Skype, New Look and Nestlé. IncrediBull was acquired by Text100 in 2015.

With a background in film direction and production, copy-writing and art direction, Lee will be leading Text100’s drive to build a region-wide creative-first culture that ensures Text100 delivers ever-more inspiring and effective work to clients.

Adam Selwyn will take on the role of Creative Director for North America, shaping the region’s creative offer.  Selwyn joins with an extensive background in consumer PR, having devised and led programs for clients such as Tylenol, Pepsi, Disney, Kraft, White Wave and Goose Island Brewing, while at Golin and Olson Engage.
