Ruder Finn appoints new Beijing GM

In the first of the agency people moves of 2012, Paul Yang has been appointed general manager of Ruder Finn Beijing. 

In his new position, Yang will focus on broadening the domestic client base and focus on fast growing practices such as ePR, CSR and INSIGHT.

He will report to Elan Shou, managing director and senior vice president of Ruder Finn China.

His assignments covered a wide range of industries including aviation,logistics, automotive, energy, finance, healthcare, travel and tourism, technology and the public sector.

He has serviced clients such as Boeing, DHL, Emirates, Michelin, BP, Citi, Visa, Novartis, Canadian Tourism Commission, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area and the Singapore Economic Development Board.

From 2008 to 2011, Yang headed Ruder Finn Beijing’s Corporate Practice and grew the client portfolio by adding several Chinese brands such as Citic Bank and the Founder Group.

In 2007 Yang was chosen by Ruder Finn Asia to participate in the Staff Development Exchange Program in Singapore where he gained first-hand knowledge and experience in managing regional accounts and global media relations and he spent some time in the New York office in 2010, working on global clients while still guiding his China team.
