Thailand and Vietnam PR operator Vero Public Relations has announced the opening of a new office in Yangon, Myanmar.
The company has spent the last year building its understanding of the market through research and meetings with stakeholders, and has hired a small team of experienced communicators. The move comes as a series of local and regional operators eye the potentially lucrative Myanmar market.
“We are optimistic about the short and long-term potential for business in Myanmar,” said Brian Griffin, managing director, Vero Public Relations. “We are confident that now is the right time to open for business.”
Vero Public Relations also has offices in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. The company serves a range of multinational companies and trade groups in consumer, B2B and public affairs communications.
In Myanmar, the company has already started providing clients with stakeholder engagement – helping executives to build relationships with journalists, policy makers and NGOs.
The agency has also conducted cross training of its executives – bringing key staff from its other offices to Myanmar and key staff from Myanmar to learn about clients and operations in existing offices.
