SharingValueAsia is pleased to announce the 2015 Summit’s Opening Keynote speaker is Procter & Gamble’s Vice President, Customer Business Development, Chester Twigg.
With wide ranging experience over 27 years across multiple geographies including the US, Europe, China, India and ASEAN, Chester is recognised as one of Procter & Gambles’ key commercial thought leaders with experience at global, regional and local levels.
He has also been responsible for some of the key breakthroughs the company has seen in its expansion across the world, including P&G’s expansion into rural China and the ‘India 3000’ program that extended P&G’s reach in India ten-fold from 300 towns to 3,000.
His work in India was specifically acknowledged by P&G Chairman and CEO AG Lafley at the 2004 Global shareholder Meeting as transformational.
Speaking in 2004, Lafley said: “Chester Twigg created ‘India 3,000’ – the plan to expand P&G’s distribution in India ten-fold, from 300 to 3,000 cities and towns across India. His ability to be in touch with a complex network of distribution partners, and to be in touch with the potential of the P&G India organisation, has helped increase volume by 50% last year. India is now the third fastest-growing country in the P&G world.”
Chester will be open the summit and join the panel to discuss Shared Value in Action. He joins a top flight of key note speakers for this year’s summit, which includes the Government of India’s Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, DG & CEO of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and Sundrop Farms’ Chairman and CEO Philipp Saumweber.
Other confirmed speakers for the summit, to be held at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore on October 1, include representatives from the the Union of Local Authorities Philippines (ULAP), the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, WWF International, Unilever, KKR Asia, Nielsen, and Microsoft.
