- -

China-headquartered pubic affairs and communications firm North Head has announced a strengthened and expanded line-up of senior consultants under the leadership of Managing Director John Russell.

Two of the founding members of the consultancy, Robert Magyar and Ma Hong, move into new positions as senior executive director and executive director, respectively. Magyar will continue to oversee the overall operations and international client support of North Head. Ma becomes the senior Chinese partner in the company, providing high-level strategic advice on Chinese stakeholder engagement to clients, as well as leading the strongest healthcare team in China.

Junni Ogborne, director of the public affairs team, will take on new responsibilities for government relations projects for North Head’s multinational clients. He will continue leading the policy and regulatory research projects of the company too.

Two new additions, Liu Haining and Chen Jing, will strengthen strategic communications, including reputation and crisis management, public affairs, media relations, and event support services of the consultancy.

Liu joined North Head as a director in early June. She is a seasoned professional with solid communications experience spanning the media and both the public and private sectors. Her time as a journalist included five years as a prime-time news anchor at Beijing TV, experience as a correspondent at CCTV, and presenting several radio documentaries on the BBC World Service.

Chen has over 15 years’ experience working in the PR and marketing industries. This includes several leading international PR firms such as Weber Shandwick, Hill & Knowlton, Edelman, and Ketchum, where she focused on corporate communications campaigns and branding services.
