Andrew McConville joins Daymark to launch Brisbane operation

mcconville3Specialist issues and reputation management consultancy Daymark has announced a significant expansion in its operations with the opening of a Brisbane office headed up by corporate affairs veteran Andrew McConville.

McConville, most recently serving as Head of Corporate Affairs for Syngenta Asia Pacific based in Singapore, joins the firm as an Associate Director.

The office opening follows the appointment of transport corporate affairs specialist Mark Paterson as Associate Director in Melbourne.

Since its launch in 2010, Daymark has advised some of Australia’s largest organisations on reputational issues, communication and engagement, with clients including Medibank, Australia Post, Telstra, NAB, AFL, and RMIT.

McConville is a corporate affairs professional with more than 20 years’ experience and has worked across a variety of sectors, industries and countries.

He has particular expertise in agricultural issues and reputation management, public relations and public policy and has managed issues and stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region, the United States, Europe and South America. In addition to his extensive agricultural experience, Andrew has worked and consulted in the government, banking and finance, FMCG and services sectors.

At Syngenta he built the Corporate Affairs function from scratch to an industry respected team of more than 50 professionals working across 15 countries in the disciplines of Government and Public Affairs, Public Policy and Partnerships, Sustainability, Media Relations, Internal Communications, Community Relations, Corporate Responsibility and Issues and Crisis Management.

In his role at Daymark, McConville will primarily focus on building the firm’s clientele in Queensland as well as capitalising on opportunities in Asia.
