McConville to lead Syngenta’s Corporate Affairs in Europe, Africa and Middle East

Syngenta’s Andrew McConville has been appointed as the company’s Head of Corporate Affairs EAME after serving in a similar role in APAC since 2008.

In his new role McConville will be based in Basel and report to global CA chief Mark Titterington.

Since taking the top role in Asia Pacific, he has built the Corporate Affairs function across the region with a strong focus on Syngenta’s license to operate, thought leadership, managing business change and implementing the company’s “Good Growth Plan”.

McConville has been involved in agriculture and corporate affairs for more than 20 years. Before joining Syngenta, he worked as a public affairs consultant as well as in corporate affairs and commercial roles with several leading agribusinesses where he successfully managed a range of issues across Asia, North America and Europe.

He started his career as an economist and public policy analyst with the State Government of Victoria, Australia. An announcement regarding the leadership of Corporate Affairs in APAC will be announced separately, Titterington said.
