Hume Brophy expands Asia team

Hume Brophy, an  independent European government affairs and corporate communications firm has hired Yeoh El Lynn as senior director for its Singapore office.

El Lynn will be responsible for driving new business growth and leading strategic client businesses, and will report to managing director Una McGirr.

With more than 13 years of experience across Asia, she was most recently the business development director of Asia for Hill+Knowlton Strategies.

She started her career at MDK Consultants in Kuala Lumpur where she worked on a range of accounts including American Express, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Japan Tobacco International and the Confederation of Malaysian Tobacco Manufacturers.

In 2005, she joined Hill+Knowlton in Shanghai as senior consultant, working on Procter & Gamble, HSBC and DBS Bank. Two years later, she relocated to H+K Malaysia as associate director focusing on issues management for Rio Tinto Alcan and Plus Expressways.

In 2008, she moved to H+K Singapore where she led corporate communications and marketing communications work for clients such as HSBC, State Street Corporation, Friends Provident International, UK Trade and Investment, National Heritage Board and Gardens by the Bay.

In the six months since launch, we have secured a solid client base and El Lynn will underpin our growth plans with her breadth of local expertise.”

Hume Brophy also announced the appointment of Simren Priestley, who relocated from Hume Brophy’s London office, as account director.

Simren joined Hume Brophy in 2009. She has broad experience in launching and managing PR campaigns for blue-chip financial services, trade and travel sector clients.

She has a background in media relations, and frequently works directly with C-level executives in planning and delivering media briefings and conferences.
