WINNER: Dr. Astrid Tuminez, Head of Corporate Affairs, Microsoft Southeast Asia

Astrid manages a team of Corporate Affairs professionals in 15 markets and is responsible for driving policy, constructive engagement, thought leadership and regulatory affairs for all of these markets.  Astrid is also very active across a number of charities and organizations across Asia and is a great ambassador not only for Microsoft but for the policy community at large.

Astrid is the Chairperson of the ASKI Global charity, which helps promote financial literacy and sustainability for migrant workers in Asia.  Prior to joining Microsoft Astrid was the Vice Dean for Research at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public policy.  Astrid continues to be a key supporter of the LKY School in thought leadership partnerships and continues to promote the school as the leading Public Policy School in Asia.  Astrid recently assisted the LKY School celebrate its 12th anniversary event delivering a great presentation on cybersecurity in partnership with other professors and the Minister of Social and Family Development.

Astrid is extremely passionate about leveraging technology to help raise living standards in Asia and her team has been able to overcome regulatory roadblocks to showcase the power and impact technology such as cloud computing can bring to the region.
