Industry celebrates 2016 Gold Standard Awards

PublicAffairsAsia has unveiled the winners of The 2016 Gold Standard Awards at the 2016 gala reception in Hong Kong.

The 26 winners and highly commended nominees saw-off strong competition across the broad range of categories. Among the major winners were Australia’s Icon Agency, which secured an unprecedented three awards for  its #Farmers4LandReform campaign.

In the coveted Prospect Gold Standard Awards for Professional Excellence, FleishmanHillard’s Lynne Anne Davis secured the agency award and Microsoft’s Dr Astrid Tuminez topped the in-house category.

The award for regional network of the year was secured by Weber Shandwick while a host of corporations, government departments and agencies secured the main category awards.

Commenting on the awards, the 2016 panel Chairman Penny Burtt said: “In 2016, the Awards received a near-record number of entries, with 290 high quality submissions. On behalf of the judges, we would like to thank all those who participated. The competition was tough in many of the categories – in particular stakeholder engagement and digital communications.”

Burtt added: “Innovation and measurable impact were the key tests for selecting our winners.  Those entries which met the high bar for creativity highlight the significant transformation of the public affairs and communications landscape underway. It is clear that Asia continues to lead the way in digital.”

Full details on all the 2016 winners’ entries can be found via the links below. PublicAffairsAsia would like to extend special thanks to all our entrants, sponsors and judges this year.
