Bell Pottinger appoints new Asian chairman


Global public relations firm Bell Pottinger Private has announced the appointments of Piers Pottinger as chairman and Ang Shih-Huei as CEO of its Asia operations.

The firm has been operating in Asia over the last 20 years and established its Asian headquarters in Singapore in 2010.

It continues to develop in scale and creativity globally and is placing emphasis on its fastest growing operation in Asia.

Piers Pottinger, chairman of Bell Pottinger Asia, said: “Growing our business in Asia is Bell Pottinger’s number one priority, which is why I have moved to Singapore. We are growing rapidly here and throughout the region; most notably in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Our corporate and financial communications expertise coupled with our global public affairs skills are already attracting an enviable client base.”

Pottinger, who co-founded the UK-headquartered Bell Pottinger Private in 1987, will remain as deputy chairman of the Group.

Shih-Huei, CEO of Bell Pottinger, formerly managing director, will be appointed as CEO to continue to strengthen the presence of Bell Pottinger in the region.
