Global biotechnology company, Amgen has announced that Ray Jordan will be joining the company in the role of senior vice-president (SVP) for corporate affairs on October 1st 2012.
Jordan has served in the role of communications leader at Johnson and Johnson since 2003, taking responsibility for corporate communications and public affairs for more than 250 operating companies in 60 countries.
Prior to this, he worked for Pfizer for 17 years, occupying a succession of positions, while he also served as chair of Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America’s public affairs section.
In his new role, he will be in charge of all strategic communications, including internal and external communications, issues management and philanthropy.
Robert Bradway, president and chief executive officer for Amgen, said: “Ray’s background in both business management and communication will serve Amgen well as we execute on our strategy to deliver results for both patients and shareholders.”
